Since Gates of Light was formed in June of 2007, they have garnered praise for their music and an international following (over 25,000 MySpace fans throughout the world). Their music is a blend of alternative and rock centered around mystical concepts.

Feb 23nd 2008 Gates of Light Advances to the next round after furiously competing with 6 other bands that were scheduled to play last Friday. We had a great night playing the Emergenza Festival last night at San Francisco's Rockit Room and really enjoyed playing for you all which helped us bring the mystic ambiance of our sound through in a new way. The crowd was wonderful, and really got into the songs. We were all amazed by the high caliber of talent playing the festival in the second round. All of the bands were thoroughly solid.
Many thanks to of our fans and friends that showed up at the Rockit room on Feb 22nd and for those who voted for us and our music. .
